Grower Group Innovation Projects are for grower groups to develop and build their capability to conduct their own research and development into more profitable and environmentally sustainable sugarcane farming systems.
Funds are available for grower groups to enhance their capability to undertake their own research and development project, which may include contracting external people, to enhance the: - skills of people within the group, - business profitability of group members, and - environmental performance. SRDC funding can be used for a range of activities, including acquiring equipment for sharing within the group to test potentially better farming systems, group coordination and meetings, hosting workshops/ field days and hiring people to enhance group skills No projects have commenced yet. Projects are due to commence 1 July 2005. |
